Leverage the Design Process

The design phase is when projects have momentum—and the ideal time to start thinking about curriculum.

Landscape architects can collaborate with educators early on, shaping the landscape and the learning experience together. Integrating curriculum development in the design process, rather than after construction, allows educators to give input on the project design and ensures the landscape supports learning from the start. When the Landscape Architect steps away, the Educator takes the lead—partnering with the Client to put the curriculum into teachers’ hands and out into the community.
